Oh, I think the chat was about using the dry lake bed, and not the field on top, so you should be safe If Danny's right and it is too easy to avoid the balloons we can move into the trees and still have plenty of separation from the campers.

Just because you are in an open field doesn't mean you will dodge the projectiles, especially if there are multiple balloons fired from some of these mortars or bazookas. I know I am not as nimble as I used to be. Just because you can see it coming doesn't necessarily mean you can get out of your own way!

Getting back on the rails, the weather forecast shows rain tonight, moving out in the morning, with only a 20 percent chance of rain by morning.

It is going to get pretty darn cold Friday night, so a fire should feel good. Bring extra blankets for sleeping.
