Looking to purchase...

Postby 2KIRKS » Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:31 pm

I'm on the hunt for a "tiny travel trailer"...

I'm looking for a single axle, light weight trailer that I can stand up in (5'10").

I live in Illinois and can travel to adjacent states, but no cross country trips are in my future. I'm not looking for a fixer...it needs to be camp ready.

I would prefer a trailer with character...either from age, uniqueness, and/or design.

I have a 2010 LG 5-wide I'd consider trading if you are looking to down size.

I have cash in hand...if you're looking to part with your trailer or are strapped for $ due to the holidays, I'm ready to purchase.

$5000 max budget.

I would say $5000 is a fare price for a completly restored Scotty. Send the seller an email and ask some questions.

I've been watching this for a few weeks now. It started out at around $9K, but can be had for $7150 Buy it Now on Ebay:

Looks like it was made by Pleasant Valley Trailers, who also make Little Guys. I believe there's a topic on it here in the Classified section from a few weeks back. Yes, out of your budget, but it might be worth throwing your $5K at it in the bidding process just for the heck of it. Plus, you never know what they might take for it if you offered!

Tim, I just sent you a message about the Scotty Pup Silver series that we have. Hope you can find one, You can stand up in our Pup, as it has the old style dropped floor. I'm 5'9" and I do not hit the ceiling, but, going out the door, that is another story. Once is enough, I'm no dummy.
Living today and planning for tomorrow.
TnT in Tennessee.
