Thanks, Butch. I hope so.

It is fun to see a dream become reality; but, I also know that it could still become a nightmare at any time.... I've got my fingers crossed that I'm doing enough so that it looks and tows okay and doesn't leak and lasts for a long time. I think that sort of sums up most trailer builders' desires.

I don't think you have to worry, from what I've seen. Of course, I call my tear "Oops", since it was the second most often word used during the build. No real nightmares, it's just all the little things that drive you nuts.

You are an inspiration to me Sharon.
Fantastic looking build, I can't wait for the first day you pull it down the road.

Enjoy,

Thank you, Eric. Once it's done, I'll be able to say,

Hi Sharon,

It is so good to see it coming together! So much of your build has been (as it has to be) about the individual sections, so I really like seeing the full picture!

As far as camping, I am doing the same thing. I started out at the local State Parks around, then LCG about 4 hrs away was the big trip, now I feel more than confident in the teardrop, and the focus has changed to the tow vehicle for longer trips. I hope to meet you in the middle someday!!

Hi, Thomas:

It's good to "hear" from you! I hope to meet you some day, too. Maybe by then, you’ll be building that A frame "Stand-in" and I'll get a chance to see it being built. I hope you'll post more pictures in your Stand-in build thread, even if it isn't a tiny trailer.

...I'm hijacking my own thread.

Some people get impatient with me because I'm slow; but, because I’m a rookie, not 30, and for other reasons, I'm maybe half as fast at building as most people here.

I'm hoping my build will last me at least 10 years -fingers crossed- so I'm trying to take extra care in the build. After all, once it's done, I want to have fun with it!

Hi Sharon, Talk about hi-Jacking! Actually the "Stand Inn" really is a tiny trailer! haha.... It got hijacked when I mentioned that I was also planning to build an A- Frame house. I hope to start building the Tiny Trailer once I finish my car here in a few month!

Back to your thread now !

Thanks, JKidd. The outside may not look as nice as yours or some others; but, it should be okay. I think I'll be very happy with the inside, though.

I was looking at your build thread and like your latest LED light fixture work. (Eventually, I hope to change some of mine over to LED bulbs.) Your wood work is beautiful.

Hi, All:

Here’s a brief update with a few pictures. I’m just about ready to put the lifting roof on but I have to wait for help this time. (I put the sides up by myself and shouldn’t have….I scratched their interior paint.) Anyway, it’s raining:

Here are interior pictures of the sides folded in:

I have company coming shortly: so, this is it for now; but, it’s something for you to see…Don’t know when I’ll be back online.

:P HAPPY NEW YEAR! :P

Sharon,

You've been holding out on us and secretly assembling the origami popup roof. Looks terrific and beautifully finished. I like the contrast between the natural wood and the painted roof.

More pics please when you have some time.

Sharon,

Going over your build pages......simply amazing. Can't wait to check out the finished product. You are an artist and a crafts(wo)man.

One thing I really enjoy about coming here.....It amazes me how creative the members are.
