I don't normally post these ads, but the description is almost to good to be true! It's probably a hard luck sale.

Looks like a decent deal for the condition if anyone is looking for this size trailer.

I posted a restoration guide by that seller that wasn't taken well.

That trailer is on a small icon to the right of the page on his resto guide. I like it but others might think based on this that they would question the resto quality.

I don't know his work, but he sure tries to sell the restoration guide. I guess the ol' saying if it is to good to be true, then it ain't. Perhaps it could be the case here. I'm thinking that trailer did sell.... perhaps its the buyer reselling it and using the original pics. I read through his ebay feedback awhile ago and it was a mixmatch of good and bad.... some people found his work to be wonderful... others felt they were not getting what they paid for. This might be one of those buyers.

Many original trailer floors are an original sin as they were when new. I covered mine too... it was severely ugly before it got dirty and scuffed over the last 47 years.

Spend some time looking around at the others he has for sale. Some questionable treatments. I was surprised on the Pierce Arrow to see the paint combo and the modern taillights stuck on the rear, that could have been done up in a much better paint combo...not exactly keeping with the era, kinda looks like a tarts trailer! Just my opinion however, but none of my stuff is perfect so who am I to talk. While a picture is worth a 1000 words...they don't exactly tell the whole story. I'd much rather have it in an "as is" condition. Doug

It also looks more like a Santa Fe than a Jet Deluxe. Not only that, but I've never heard of a Jet Deluxe. I wonder if it's a name he has made up. Sure like to see the name plate.

And I just love this one. Painted like a '56 Dalton but isn't a Dalton.

Regarding the floor trim, not a real clear picture but it looks like "screen molding", which is used when installing window screen in a wood door or window. I've bought it at Home Depot and used it for edge trim on wood shelves but never on a floor. It's about 3/16" thick and 3/4" wide with a couple grooves in it. If I couldn't get the flooring fit tight I would have hid the gaps with quarter round wood trim, but then you need to miter the corners and that's extra work. Bob

To repair water damaged veneers, just inject it with a a little glue. Voila! It's just like new .

I started out with the best of intentions posting this, but with the new canned ham section on this forum, it's a good lesson for newcomers looking to jump into a vintage purchase.

I don't know this guy or anything about him BUT I have a 1937 Pierce Arrow Travelodge model "C". Which is a 13ft box and the smallest size Pierce built. It does NOT look like this trailer he has advertised!! It's close but the front and rear walls slope out to a longer floor than top. I have all the original ID plates and have compared mine to several others and feel sure mine is "real". I do not see any ID tags on his trailer. I guess the bottom line is - do your home work before you buy!!
