Window overhall

Postby Joamon » Wed Jan 25, 2006 9:25 pm

I bought some old crankout windows a while back. I'm going to need to take them apart and clean them when I get ready to build the doors. I was wonder what some of you might suggest on how to clean the aluminum. Maybe steel wool or an abrasive cleaner like comet or (?).
Thanks

Go to a Wally World in the car care section and look for "wadding polishes".

Several companies make it, it comes in a metal can, in the can is a bunch of fairly raw course cotton wadding impregnated with cleaning polish, works great on aluminum....

Cheers,
