Mark....I'm no expert, but do have a couple of pre-ways, from the late 20's early 30's. I like them because they are different but prefer the pre-war models. I'm still learning a lot, but the 4500 series was post WW2, I think they had the 4800 series in the 50's. I could be wrong however. One thing on that one...there are less parts in it that the older ones, and he says its a working one. Would make a nice stove all cleaned and painted up. Doug

From my understanding Doug is correct. The 4500 series was made from '45 to 47. I have one of the 4521 models along with the big 4523 3 burner. Kewl, unique stoves, and the 4521 is very compact. You'd be surprised by how much it weighs.
