Mine are totally nuts.

I copied the shape from someone else here, and I used large Tee-hinges.

The handles are separate, and slide-bolts inside and out act as the locks.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to trim out the top semi-circles. I also want to add a little type of awning effect, something like a rain visor on a car.
Here we go again!

Ira-

How 'bout something like this:

http://www.pacerperformance.com/pages/products.asp?id=2

No Lip - Side Mount
• For fenderwells without a mounting lip such as those
that have been cut to accommodate an oversized tire.
• Attaches to side of fender.
• 1/4" thick. Extends width of fenderwell by 2-1/4".

Model Number
52-170.... Black 2 pc. kit 58" lengths.
52-169.... Black 50' bulk roll.

Hey it's surface mount, flexible rubber!

Mount it up high enough on the sides of the Crab for the door to clear...

Cheers,

Coop

THAT'S THE STUFF! THANKS, COOP!

I went to the auto store looking for WINDOW rainguards, but never thought of looking DOWN.

You think I can find this in a store locally?

(Hey--never mind that last part! They have a dealer locator list on the site! THANKS AGAIN, COOP!)

Ira-

Glad to help!

BTW if you can't find it locally, you CAN by direct from Pacer!

I used flare extension for a continuous corner trim on the C'tear.

Couldn't find a 50' roll from any of their dealers, called 'em up, explained my dilema to them, they hooked me up!

Cheers,

Coop

OH JC Whitney sells their stuff too!

The two shorter lengths would be fine for me--and you're pretty sure it'll bend to my radius?

Ira-

I'm reasonable sure!

This stuff is kinda like a limp ahhh, eemm, well noodle!

Take a look at the top front radius on my trailer, 22".

It is made for fender flare extensions, so if your door radius is close to a car/truck fender opening (looks like it is), you should be good to go!

Coop
