Homemade woody in Ohio for sale

Hey all, after careful consideration and a lot of persuasion of the coming pooping, peeing, crying type we have decided that we will be selling our teardrop. Eventually we will be upgrading to something (we do not know what yet), but I am also starting a new job and will not have vacation time for a year.

So here is the details:

I bought this from ebay from a guy in Iowa that made it to his own specs. It is not any particular type of TD. He custom made the frame for it and the floor and walls are made of 3/4" ply.

It is a convertible and the top is made from a black dumptruck vinyl cover that attaches with snaps (3 or 4 snaps need replaced) and the cabin is covered with a screen. The tires are full size with aluminum cragar wheels. It has a 2" ball and flat four connector.

I bought it with no electric so I simply added an extension cord with GFI and ran cords to recepticles. The internal lights are fluorescent puck lights and there are 2 Xenon puck lights in the galley.

This isn't a very complex camper and it has treated us VERY well this past year. It is 4.5 wide and 8' long. The cabin fits a futon mattress nicely and makes for a nice sleep. There is a cabinet with sliding doors on the inside and 3 under counter storage areas in the galley and 2 full width open topped shelves in the galley too.

The spare tire is mounted on an arm that will swing out 180 deg and the tire will rotate upwards. I used this to make a simple table for cooking. The spare tire being on the back making it light in the tongue, but I strap our 10x10 easy up to the tongue and it balances out quite nicely.

The original tongue jack was a poor design so I made the simplest one I could think of which is a bottle jack with a 2" ball welded to it. One the jacks in the rear are deployed this has never given us any problems at all.

Oh yeah . . . it weighs about 700lbs completely unloaded.

Price is $4000 OBO. I've attached a few pictures here, but should have more handy and can take more if needed. Please pm me, or email me at [email protected] for questions or more details. We are located in Central Ohio, with this being a woody I would not recommend pulling it during the winter . . . it should fit in a box trailer easily though. Also, I would not recommend outdoor permanent storage (we've kept it in the garage).

Thanks for looking, Scott

NOW $3750 OBO (3/1/11)
