Do you mind if I ask how you do the engraving?

LOW TECH - LOTS OF LABOR

I use vinyl like whats used for decals or signs as the masking. Once everything is covered except for the part I'm etching I basically sandblast it using Aluminum Oxide as the abrasive. Sounds simple enough.

Ah, I had thought you were using a yag laser, and if you were I was going to ask how you mange to engrave on the blue without it blowing up on you.

Hey guys. I've a little set back in the shop. Compressor died while etching these. It's getting replaced hopefully by Monday. I am still confident that these will be to you by Christmas but if you have any concerns just contact me and I'll take care of it.

Thanks again,
Darren

Hey guys. I wanted to let you all know that I've setup a page with Valentines Day Items. After my compressor died I decided to go ahead and update my blasting and mask making processes. I'm glad I did as the results are awesome.
Red mugs are scheduled for delivery tomorrow! Regular ones were not coming anytime soon so I got a case of Red outside and White inside coffee mugs. I'll report on the mugs when they arrive.

With the higher detail etchings I'm not able to expose the white beneath the ceramic like on the Teardrop design. Here's a Cobalt Blue mug with the new processing and a surface etch.

This is a glass ornament or suncatcher at the higher detail level.

Thanks for looking all and the support,
Darren
