Out of 50,000 not sure 35 makes them extinct

I know most are gone, but this is commonplace in movies. Think about how many "General Lee's" were made

In my not so humble opinion the car was the ONLY good thing about the movie which I class in the top five worst movies I have ever seen. Saw the car, or more correctly, one of them, at the Detroit Auto Show. I was there Friday and there were in excess of seventy five thousand people there according to the news.
What was interesting was that it seemed to me most of the genuine attention was on the smaller more efficient cars.

Like the looks of your trailer and have been thinking along similar lines for a while and never could make a hard decision.

So I've been on the fence on building another camper so I sat down today and looked at yours and decided to start up. Really materials wise I was only short a trailer. Even tho I own a steel fab shop I've found it's 1000X easier to buy one than fab one and deal with the paperwork here.

So I called up Tractor Supply and they said they had one so I made the trek over there of about 50 miles. Of course they didn't have it.

So I called another TSC and they had one. Drove back the 50 miles I came and another 50 miles in the other direction. Got there and they had one. Employee needed VIN number to fill out paperwork and apparently a pen/paper combination was a foreign concept to her so she drove the forklift to pick it up. Where she drug it across the parking lot on the rear end taking all the paint off and then for the final coup de gras she droped it and ran over it with the forklift tearing off the fender and bending the frame/axle.

Of course it took 45 minutes to get a refund and the manager didn't understand why I still didn't want it. Ok then.

Back to plan B. Build it and have it registered in another state where I do business.

NathanL - sorry to hear about your trailer disaster! usually when I go to buy one ITTRY to get one that has a damaged fender because I'm going to cut it off anyways - usually they give me a discount on the trailer - But a bent axle :shock:

WOW. I hope you do find one to start your build. they are really good platforms to build on

Carry-On made in the USA. I believe the TSC ones are made at their Georgia plant with steel rolled in Alabama. They use Dexter Axles which I believe are made in Indiana but I'm not 100% certain they don't make them elsewhere.

They must hide those then. Last time I saw trailers at TS they were basically the same DIY 4x8 as HF.
