Edit: All the knobs seem to work, but the tank plunger is loose and doesn't seal.

Cliff, you have found a dangerous relic from the late 1940s or early 50s. They have been known to be seen spouting fire and consuming dangerous fossil fuels. It should be shipped to me right away for your own safety, I will dispose of it in the correct manner in a few years after careful study.....


All kidding aside that's one serious stove. Those Preways were built like tanks and that one looks to be in very good condition. I've been watching for a good deal on one of the previous models (4500 series) to complete a set. Congratulations on a very nice find! :thumbsup:

We have an early three burner Preway I inherited from my dad and yes they are built tough, and we still use ours.
