The latest is that Eric has said he is going to hire three guys to finish it (I did not think there was that much to do) two of whom worked for Eye4Design. Unfortunately I just do not know whether to believe him. So unless I see proof he is doing as he said he would, I will be finding a lawyer.

How long are you planning on waiting for this guy to quit lying to you and finish your teardrop?

I have already asked a friend who is a lawyer if he knows some one in Toledo specializing in this sort of case. So not too long!

More promises not kept, and I have contacted the Elkhart lawyer referral service. I forgot licensure is state based.

Even though licensure is state based, if you have an attorney friend, I would have them write a letter to Eric stating your intent to sue if this is not settled. That might be all it takes to get this resolved. I know that it has worked for me in the past when I was dealing with someone out of state on an issue I needed resolved.

Agreed. A "friendly" letter from an actual attorney can many times get things rectified without having to actually take legal action.

I understand what you are saying but if they are at all knowledgeable they know I have to work through some one local, and in talking with the individual doing the referring the courts in Elkhart are difficult, and you need an insider. My hope that the threat of hiring a lawyer will be sufficient and yes I think a letter will probably be sufficient, but I feel it needs to be credible.
I hate feeling that I need to do this but if I am, I want to do it right.

Credible doesn't mean it has to come from THE lawyer you would use in that area but coming from an actual lawyer stating that you have been looking into your options and the firm would "recommend" that you pursue action with appropriate representation but would prefer that you take care of this as gentlemen and resolve the problem ASAP.

It's clean, simple, and credible but do be ready to back it up, "just in case."

Exactly. In my case, an attorney friend wrote the letter to a company in another state informing them that I would like to resolve the issue without suing, but I was prepared to find an attorney in the correct jurisdiction, if needed.

Hello Shadow,

I wish you the best of luck on this litigation. It is a shame that your TTT design dream has become a nightmare.

Again best of luck.

Hi, Shadow Catcher:

I recognize that, once you start proceedings, you may not be allowed to post some of what is happening anymore. So, while this thread is still active, I will take the opportunity to send my sincere condolences that this is happening to you and to wish you a successful outcome. I am certain that we will all be watching for resolution!

The latest is that we finally heard for Eric and he supposedly is going to send pictures tonight. On the lawyer front I am trying to deal with the lawyer referral system in Indiana and so far have yet to hear back from them.
Massive frustration :x

i wouldn't trust anything this guy told me or the pictures he sends.

I would still contact an attorney friend or a local attorney, and have that person contact Eric. That attorney could say you will pursue finding an attorney in the right jurisdiction if this cannot be settled immediately.
