Good to see that you're staying warm!

Yep doing fine and actually feel if the weather got worse I have enough heat to spare as I often have to shut down the furnace. Can't wait to insulate for next year.

Hope everything is still going ok for you! I liked your ideas for shelving and laundry. Even when camping weekends, I have a separate bag and place for dirty laundry.

Stay warm!

That winter freeze just hit us here in Pittsburgh. Got the propane tanks at full. This one lasted about five days. Still had about 1/2 lb in the one that I went and got filled. Actually it warmed up a little and then we just got back into another freeze. I know we had worse last year. Still here in Pittsburgh it has not been in the sub zeros yet.

Phil said it is going to be a short winter.

Our parking lot is all ice. Hope I get out to do a job tomorrow. Applied for a St Vincent De Paul job. Hope I get it. Just tell my boss to only set me up for Saturdays.

Hi Russ
Just sent you an email about the map.
We got hit pretty hard with the ice here to. The road are pretty good, but the side walks and most of the parking lots are a skating rink. Looks like some snow for tomorrow and again the first part of the week. The bad is it looks like we are going to be really cold again the end of next week. Can I come over a shoot your ground hog?
Keep warm, Erv

Yeah! I always wanted to do that. But I was reading a bit back that that hog is well protected. For the past ten years I wanted to be a part of the crowd on that day but always feared the weather would be just a day as the movie was and I would get stuck there.

Well it was 36 degrees today and I aired out the trailer as I had the door open for about five hours. Sun shinning and no furnace on.

I don't think here in Pittsburgh that were going to get the below freeze temps we had last year. And as I recall in 2007 we were well into the freeze about now and into the 13th of February and I checked the weather and the temps up to the 15th this year are in the low 30's. Great for propane use and sleeping barely w/o blankets.

DON"T get me wrong, I am in no way complaining but I get the feeling we here in Pittsburgh are having a mild winter.

I am definitely glad I got this furnace. At night I set it at the bottom of the thermostat setting and think it only goes on maybe 4 time during the night. No gen running either. Battery up to full all the time.Remember un insulated trailer so when I get it insulated what will I save then?

I am going to get rid of the toaster oven as I think it cooks to slow. I just think I could do a better job of partially frying and then microwaving chicken and other meats. I think it will go much faster and I notice the chicken doesn't get done inside as well. I always did this in my stick house b4 getting into the trailers so why did I change?

Russ,
Good to hear the weather is cooperating. I haven't posted much or done anything else for that matter the past few days. I've caught one to the current bugs and its keeping me worn out. Hopefully, I'll get better in the next few days. Until then, this sucks!

Spent the whole day at my sons in laws the other day. Had a lot to talk about including the subject of staying at their house when they leave for trips they take. They kind of feel that their house is safe with me staying in it while they are gone for a week or so. I tell them its like a vacation to me. Lois says she is planning on putting their dog to rest as it is very old and senile. But even if they do they still want me to house sit. They are not really allowed to have trailers in the driveway but they said it is only for a week so just do it.

We still can't figure out why their daughter and I just don't get along. Well they know but think it is petty and that she should end this difference. Been going on since September. I am getting numb to it and it is starting to not matter. Being a loner I enjoy our talks. By the way she invited me over.

I have definitely come to the conclusion that an un insulated trailer is good to be in if you have a job to keep up with the propane issue and your boss as well as the owner of your bosses business building lets you stay in his parking lot. They both know I am just me and not partying so no loss. They are however concerned that just a mile up the road some shootings take place but I am isolated here and (stealth)

Hey! just how bad a problems can a 57 year old man single be to your property. Generator quiet. self contained and just quiet.

Temps have been between 07 and up to 25 on average. Furnace only kicks on but maybe only 10 times at night. 10 during the day. I have been seeing the tanks go longer say 5 days instead of 3.Next week up into the 30's Pretty soon the doors will be getting opened during the day. Boss says soon I will be able to take baths in the creek behind our building. NOT!!!

Having someone staying in the parking lot is a deterrent to breaking and entering. For all the kids and bad guys know, you're the security guard.

Problem is that I don't show no signs that I am on the property. That much is known. They actually said just stay in the trailer and have the 911 put in the ready to call numbers.

At least 38 days til spring left. I recall in the beginning of this topic that I said 99 days and counting. Seven weeks since I have had the furnace. I love it actually. Have it all figured out. Click says the thermostat, click says the sail switch and on goes the fan and then less then a minute goes the heat. It sometimes happens and I pay no mind to it.
