Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
Nice looking job. I like woodies....... .......just don't want to build one myself. Think they'd require too much maintenance for me. Guess I'm lazy, huh?
Chris
The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

What is that axle out of? I've got an 80's Chev Citation rear axle on the bench right now. It looks Identical to yours. I see you widened yours quite a bit as well. Did you reinforce the channel? Mine is kind of crusty and rusty. The hubs are free but I can't get them off to check the bearings. I'm going to have to use some serious heat to get it apart which will probably melt the seals.
Mark used a k-car axle 14in. tires dodge caravan will work.Yes widened and plated complete bottom, used three leaf trailer springs and shackles have more pics if i can help holler
