Is There an Overlap on the Hatch?

Postby John6012 » Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:01 pm

I've tried posting this before but appartently it didn't take. I apologize if I've posted twice. Is there an overhang of the hatch lid over the sides?

I've been updating my web site and just added a picture showing the overhang. I have about 3/4" of overhang on mine.

The weatherseal sits on the overhang, which seals on the top of the sides. I used a router with a flush trimming bit to make it follow the sides once the hatch was installed.

Check out the Generic Benroy Plans (at the top of the page). The hatch section has some good information for you!!!
