Hi from BFE Nevada

Postby racer152 » Mon Feb 21, 2011 9:43 pm

Been hanging around reading builds. Facemeltingly Epic steered me here.
I have a 4x8 HF trailer(open) that I have hauled racing karts & race tires for the Miata, yes I have one too, In fact I got yhe hitch from Scott for it.

I plan on building a TD but without the galley or make it removeable
so I can still haul a kart.I will redo the suspension and get rid of the leaf spring setup. It wil be a 3 link with either coilover schocks or air bags with a sway bar to control lean. I had the coilover setup on my 40x48 HF trailer to haul race tires or kart but not both.
I will take a ton of pics when I do the suspension as you will all be curious.

Build thread will start when I finish the current project.

Thanks Pat

Ok, Pat, nice try but being as close to Reno as you are, there is no way you are BFE! You have BOTH a walmart and a Lowes! (which you will be frequenting in the upcoming months, so learn everyone's first name, your new best friends!). We out here in Lovelock and Dan in Winnemucca are way more BFE than you, besides, FHS is AAA not double AA!

More importantly, WELCOME! There are a number of us in Northern Nevada now. We finished ours in 2009, you are welcome to come visit anytime.

DMccam is getting ready to build in Reno, Down Under Tech is at least 1/2 way through TWO builds at the same time, Dan Lott is making good progress on his big trolley top. :applause:

Welcome Pat, your suspension sounds interesting. Look forward to seeing it and your build too.

Like Debbie said, Ferntucky is just the west gate to BFE. And the two big stores are just across the street from each other too. It's a regular Metropolis these days ;)

Thanks for the welcome...99% of the people in Reno think the edge of the earth is mm22 on I-80.

I will get going on it when I get the son inlaws Jeep out of garage.

Howdy from a few miles SE of you in Strangecoach! We consider your neck of the woods to be the big city - traffic signals and everything. I tell folks this isn't the end of the earth, but you can see it from here...

Go west until you cross the Colorado river, then turn right and continue approx 300 miles. BFE is where maps don't work anymore...
