Finally – The final coats of epoxy are applied – Still need to sand some runs out and level a few places – but the edges are sealed, rounded and all seams are reinforced with fiberglass tape. I found it easier to sand outside while the weather is cooperating! I’m going to let it sit to cure for a day





One thing I learned from this: wear long sleeves when sanding fiberglass - it does tend to get a little itchy

Nice progress!!

For the fiberglass sanding itchies: get a cotton ball and put some baby oil on it (vegetable oil works too) and wipe your arms in the direction of the hair growth with oil-soaked cotton ball. That'll remove the fiberglasss pieces. Then take a bath (or lay out in the sun hehe).

The Green Lantern continues to impress! Beavers Bend certainly looks achievable.

After you've given it some time, I think it would be good to hear your thoughts about epoxy. I known you've used other methods.

Sanding is done – now for the first color coat – you guess it – ALL green. Did away with the two toned scheme and went with all Coleman green. The front and rear graphics will break up the color

Now to play the waiting game for the paint to dry - then install the windows door and next comes wiring the trailer harnesses and lights

Well folks here’s the secrete – The paint is from Tractor Supply Company and its Valspar Tractor & Implement High Gloss Enamel, Oliver Green. It a close match to coleman green. I used it on the interior bedding platforms and its super tough – I’ve sprayed it with water, armor all, and even sanded it – tough stuff once it’s cured. I guess it has to be to used on farm equipment. It’s an oil based paint so it’s kinda a mess to deal with as far as clean up – but it’s defiantly a bulletproof finish (Please don’t test it by firing bullets into my camper!) It takes a while to cure – but it seems to level itself out – and I applied it with a foam roller!
