I think I'd have an HVAC shop bend up a new one. Depending on the condition of the steel itself IE rot, cancer etc..., and dirt/crud in the seams, it might be less expensive/hassle in the long run. I never used mine as a cooler...just stored junk in it, same with the sink. Doug

I work with SS, aluminum and galvi all the time. I'll bet it's galvi based on the look of it, and if it is, cleaning it will only remove part of the corrosion I'm seeing, and if you don't mind then that's the way to go. But don't get to aggressive because if you go through the thin layer of zinc it will rust worse. Just no this, any place it's rusty now will rust again the zinc is gone. I would bet it's not aluminum or stainless and if it were mine I build it out of stainless. You might be surprised what it would cost to build. My advice; find a good sheet metal shop and see. Good luck
CONSISTENCY!!!!!! It's only a good thing if you're not a screw up.

It is steel. Kit did a few with a wax-coating in '45, and aluminum in '46. but then went to galvinized coated steel for longevity! I have some reproductions in stock, complete with bottom drain. Sent you a pm
