I have been working on a plan to ride across the country via the internet this year. The main route across Canada is the the Trans Canada Highway, so starting next week, I will be riding locally here in Southern Ontario and then mapping out the milage on the Trans Canada Website, just to see how far I can get.
I am sure this can be done in the U.S. :thumbsup:

Any takers from all you riders down there

Just click on Maps (final 2010)

The race maps are from RAAM (Race Across America) that starts in Oceanview California and finishes in Annapolis MD., approximately 3000 miles

The riders who do this race usually do it in about 8 or 9 days :shock:

...I hope to do a virtual version in 7 months

Anybody else care to see how far they can get between now and October.

Our first ride of the Season was on Jan 1st. We went out for a ride the last night of 2010... and rode ourselves into the New Year. Then went out with another group later in the day on New Years. I have around 800 miles for the season.. many of them so far being snow rides...

My first ride was yesterday and just to tune up the bike...I'm at six :cry:

New bike rides well. I love the remote lock out for the front shocks, but the 29" wheels took a little getting used to on the trails.

Haven't gotten out this week because the weather sucks

but hope to get some milage in this weekend.

I'll never hit the target of 3000miles by the end of October at this rate :roll:

Getting new racing wheels put on the road bike so that will help too :thumbsup:

Well, I am sitting at 22 miles for the year...weather has been crappy this week...today is cold and damp :cry:

Went out fo 16 miles on the trails yesterday and had three deer cross my path. Stopped and watched them for a while. Nature is beutiful whe you don't hear any cars :thumbsup:
