Hello From New Mexico

Postby Leo » Tue Mar 01, 2011 12:29 am

Hi All
The name here is Leo, I have a Camp-inn 550 Ultra on order and received my first build pics today so we should have it in 6-8 weeks. Long time camper including tent, and backpacking also own a cabin in the northern Jemez Mts. Trout stream runs through the property so I fish a lot.

I enjoy camping in out of the way places where there is no ambient light to hinder looking at the night sky in all its glory. I decided to buy instead of build due to the fact that I am an engineer, and prone to being a perfectionist, so rather than build and spend at least 2-3 years in the process missing out on a lot of camping I decided to buy.

Welcome! We're a stone's throw away in Mesa, AZ. Enjoy your new TD. We bought for the same reason - family was in construction and I work on airplanes. NO WAY was I going to start ANOTHER project this late in life.

Hi, I'm near Santa Fe.

I'm a single mom with a single income, trying to make some summer memories with my kids like from my own childhood. So I'm building my own. I'd like a standy, to have room for bunks for the kids, but realistically I should be thinking smaller because of my small tow vehicle. A stoopy? Whatever I build, it's going to be minimalist and as light as possilbe!

So far my step-dad has been helping me put the Harbor Freight trailer together, but he still thinks it is just as a utility trailer. I told him from the start that it is going to be a camper but he is convinced it will never happen. Baaah! I'm not only a big girl, I have reached old-lady-hood now, and don't need his permission to build this project!
