You can have a look at the way I built my camper, although it doesn't have a frame, the concept will still work, and when I start building my teardrop I will do it the same way.

Nice truck camper! Lots of great ideas on alternate ways of building. I really like the idea of adding the interior roof, insulation/spars and roof from the outside. I guess I am going to have to sit down and draw some real plans so that I can tell where the spars go to accomodate the interior and roof seams. The idea of putting in the vertical 1 X's where the roof spars attach sounds pretty good to me.

As far as fiberglass/foam construction, wouldn't that be pretty expensive? I have only worked with epoxy and not polyester resin and I know polyester is less expensive. Cool idea though. Light, strong and unrottable(?).

It was a lot of fun building and we had some great traveling experiences in it.

Soon, I will be starting on the tear and fixin' the Boler up as well.

I see it's in a smal size truck. About how much does it weigh?

It fit inside the pickup box which was 6 feet and the width was about 6'2".

Although I never had it weighed, once it was finished I could very easily lift 1 end, so my estimate is around 250 pounds.
