I got the Zodi shower in the mail yesterday. Tested it today, water gets too hot to hold your hand under on hi. Make a few adjustments  and I think it will work great for a multi-use low flow water heater.

Well the idea worked on the bench when we cobbled it together a few weeks ago with a home made burner and some scraps. Today I got a real burner and a pump in the system and tried it out in the trailer.

WORKS GREAT!!!

I need some bigger fans as the inlet and outlet temperatures before and after the radiator aren't drastically different and I think I could pull more heat from the system, but I was getting 110º air at steady state and it was enough volume to warm things up. I'm going to add some ducting so that it's re-circulating the air though the trailer rather than drawing in fresh air which will help as well. I'm very pleased. Just need to get it all permanently in place and plumbed.

Today we installed the world's most over-engineered step, glad Land Rover did it and not me. I just robbed it.

It's got a return spring as well as damper. Since I removed the tailgate in favor of more traditional doors we need an easier way to get, so this coupled with a grab handle should solve the problem.

Interesting step! That spring doesn't look long for this world though.

I tried to keep the spring at roughly the same position as it was on the rover so we'll see.
