And so it begins ---

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

And so it begins ---

Hello all,
I suppose that since I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, I should jump up and say hello.
As I suffer from information overload, I have decided to keep things simple and build the Cubby --- with a twist. My intent is to build the Cubby, but use a lot of the techniques that Steve has outlined in his shop manual. I like the woody look and for some reason, think that fiberglass and epoxy will be easier to work with than sheet metal.
A couple of boxes of parts followed me home from Harbor Freight today, so my build has begun!
And yes, there are already pictures in my album!!

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

Is that your Aliner in the back ground, if so how do you like it?

Yes it is. I like it a lot -- it too gets a lot of attention at the campgrounds. Its nice because it tows like a pop-up, but has hard sides so is four seasonal. Having a furnace and AC in a pop-up style camper is nice! I just added an electric water pump and a Fantastic fan in it at Christmas.

Mike,

You're off to a good start. I can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe we can go camping together sometime since we live so close together.

Are you going to be able to attend the gathering at Spring Mill in May? I'll be there --- in space 186 (just next to the TD gathering sites). I seriously doubt that my TD will be finished by then, so look for the Aliner.

I didn't realize there was a gathering in May. I already have plans for camping in Mc Cormicks Creek Memorial Day weekend. Before that, ten days in the Smokies and in August, a week in Canada. So much fun, so little time.

Keep in touch --- McCormicks Creek is right at 10 miles down the road from the house!
