A Warm Hello From Central California

Hello everyone,

My wife and I just became interested in the TD camping experience. We used to motorcycle camp, pulling a cargo trailer. I am 65 and just had major spinal surgery (16 vertebrae fused) 3 months ago, so motorcycling is out and that's OK with both of us. Linda and I still love to get outdoors and enjoy God's creations and think the Tear Drop camper would be the way to go for us. We have to wait a little while before jumping in to this with both feet. We will have to see if we have anything left after taking care of all the medical bills . Plus I have to spend some more time recovering.

Thanks for allowing me on this forum as I want to learn as much as I can before making our big decision. We are currently looking at the Six Wide Little Guy trailer. We tried one on for size a couple of days ago and I found I had no trouble getting into the camper even with all of the fused vertebrae!

Hello notned and good to know you, my friend.

I took a look at your trailer. Is it your own design? All of these different types of campers are really great...as long as they help you to get away from the house and enjoy the great outdoors.

Living in Fresno, a teardrop would be the perfect answer to enjoying places like Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park, near you.

No it's not my design. I found it here. The second owner was selling it. The builder and 2nd owner both worked at Lemoore Navel Air Base.

I think this design was easier to build than the teardrop shape. I don't recommend the air conditioner. As dry as we are it's not really needed. Also to run it you'd have to leave the galley open and who wants to do that?
