.063 is very thick and heavy. But that is the only thickness I have found for 5 wide. It is what I used on my 5 wide I sold last year. It will make a curve as you can see on my avatar

I bought my 4x10 painted sheets from Industrial Metal supply for the teardrop and 4x10 painted sheets from United Aluminum. the 4x12 unpainted sheets I got here in North Phoenix. I live off of Union Hills and Central, pretty far from you. I will be here working on my vintage trailer Saturday and Sunday mornings. I usually get home from work around 1:30 pm also Monday through Friday.

Would you mind telling me if you have used the tape or is there a reason to not use the tape? I know the heat is an issue but I've been seeing alot of trailers around here lately and it looks like they may have used the tape. Anyway... I wondered if this was just your thought or if you have heard of or experienced a negative using the tape in Phoenix or in extreme heat. Thanks again for your experience and advice.

Just saw your new posts and pictures. It looks great. Very nice to know that that size is workable. I'm still deciding what approach to take. I found some that I can get locally but it is unpainted or mill so what to do??? I have to order from out of State to get painted.

Paint it yourself, or take it to a body shop to have it painted.

Yeah... I suppose your right!! Simple answer... paint it yourself. I guess I was trying to save myself that step in the long run. Thanks for that little reminder.
