Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

We have 14" utility white rims and tires on our trailer, purchased from Lowe'. Randy wants to eventually trade them out for some nice chrome rims, but in the meantime I want to cover these uglies up with maybe some inexpensive baby moons. I have looked in the index and searched, but I am still not sure what will work. Any ideas for baby moons that will work on these wheels?

Sorry Debbie....you won't find baby moons will fit on that type wheel. It has no center to attach them to. Moons typically need a raised type center with nubs to attach to. Maybe chrome lugs, a trim ring and a center cap in the meantime. Doug

I've got sort of the same situation on the Nomad....I have the raised center to accept the moons, but with the age of the wheels...there isn't a re-pop moon available for it. They have 3 sizes now for the traditional moon. I did the lugs and the trim rings....I can't find a chrome center cap for it that fits. I need to ream out the center hole to accept one. Doug

Maybe not baby moons, but Hubcap Mike's has Moondisk style full wheel covers for very reasonable prices.

These are 13" models.

I was going to suggest that to Debbie...but moons are moons. for me...that disc hides too much detail and in my case...paint work. Lazybones has those on his and his 56T bird TV, looks great on it! I was going to suggest that Debbie pick up a couple of junk yard 14's that can accept the moons and paint them up in a dark purple to match the interior quilting/fabric...some trim rings and moons...tasty! Caseydog also used these same hubcaps on his wheels. Here is a picture of his trailer.

I have seen other pictures of the same hubcaps on trailers on this forum, but I am unable to locate them right now.

I like those smoothies. They would cover up more of the ugly utilitarian wheel. They would work on those?

Doug, tell me more about the trim rings, I am a newbie to tricking out the wheels here... :lol:

Although I didn't find Baby Moons on this site, I bought a set of Chrome Hub covers. It's a nice site with a nice selection and maybe worth a look...

Hello Debbie: You can get the chrome wheels from Summit Racing here in Sparks, NV. The center caps are extra though. They offer many different center caps. All are similar, but a little different than the others. They have the wheels in different offset (back spacing) and I'm sure you can get the right size you need. These are pricey but it is only a sugestion for you to help you in your decision. You can call them toll free and ask the guys there questions to be sure you get the right ones. You need a zero offset. Trailer wheels use a zero offset.

Thanks, everyone, you have been a great help, like always. After proposing your options to Randy, (me being the "poking at cha" person in the family, and the internet surfer,) what he really wants is chrome/aluminum spoked rims, so I did a little research and found http://www.trailer-wheels.com/ which has 37 different 14" 5 lug 4.5 trailer wheels, with many in our price range of @ 60-80 $ each. Since we haven't bought anything new for Monstreo this year, and he might be feeling neglected, Randy says "maybe we will just order them! (he was going to talk to the local tire place/wrecker and see what they get in on wrecked cars) instead of waiting for the right wrecked trailer ones.

Anyone do business with the company? Looking at maybe something like this:
