SCTT Lake Perris Gathering. MY FIRST

Postby Ken's Teardrop » Sat Apr 02, 2011 10:18 am

It was the first time that we had our little Bed & Breakfast Teardrop out camping. It wasn't quite finished yet, but I registered it on friday, and we got to Perris on Saturday morning, We missed most of the rain, but it was still cold Saturday night. We unfortunately didn't get to go to the pot-luck. We had a friend that came by, and he just wanted to talk and cook some steaks. I really wish we had gone.
I walked around and talked to quite a few people. there were a lot of great people there, and lots of Teardrops.
I have been trying to get my wife to go camping for years, but she was not interested. With the teardrop she says she'll go camping anytime. She really liked it.
I have some pictures of the Gathering in my Profile. For some reason I don't have an Album icon., but you can go to my profile and access the photo gallery.
Some of the highlights were the !/4 Nelson Teardrop, by Roly Nelson, and there was a teardrop that had been restored by a High School wood shop. The woodworking was beautiful.

Actually, Grant, isn't this one yours? With Kay's add a room added?

The weather seemed to keep sum folks at home. "I" like campin fer the "campin". The weather is jus part of the pkg.

"I" also had a family emergency jus before I got to the gathering at 10:30am. I set up camp, took care of business and returned by 7:30pm on Thursday....then I turned my cell phone OFF !

This year I purposely parked near NEW people so I could annoy "others" this year...I still got to visit with a buncha new folks and had a great time as usual !

Had a wonderful time watchin my friend Roly work his magic( and P.T.Barnum skillz )with his new 1/4 Nelson,Stacker.

Was SO thankful that Carousel and Ray decided to carry on the tradition of the SCTT gathering.

Next year should be bigger and better... :applause:
