Well I found my torches.. 2 of them.. but not the solder. I was more interested in moving the joints.. vs making them water tight again at the moment.. so I set to work.

I had something for an ignitor on my newer torch.. and that was not working.. so no problem.. I light it by hand.. and things are going pretty good. It is tough trying to move what I want.. I have two seperate fittings I need to warm [at the same time] I do one.. and try and flex everything.. and go to the next.. moving back and forth.. making progress.. just semi slowly.

Then the torch seems to stop working... :thinking:

I can't get it to relight.. it feels rather touchy... :thinking:

So I grab the other one... light that.. and when trying to adjust the flame... poof.. it turns into a fire ball ... in my bare hands... :frightened: :frightened: :frightened: :x :x

I grab the knob for the valve.. and fortunately I was able to shut it down.. before getting burned to badly... although my hands are now kind of hairless... :o

So I head to Laurie's work to get a new torch...and we ended up going to out to lunch.. so the smell of the torch.. and burning hair and flesh.. won't be detected.. of course Laurie asked what I was working on. I just said I was in the Laundry room.. and she did not ask further... :thinking: :roll: 8) So so far I am golden... :lol:

I got strips of PT decking bolted into the concrete on 3 sides.. but the manifold in still in my way on the other... :thinking: :thinking:

so it is not that much of a span.. I cover the hole with PT decking.. and have room for a piece of plywood over that... and with a rug over all that I will be golden.

I wonder if Laurie will notice... :roll: :roll:

I might not do any more today. I want to screw down the decking.. but I might fix those solder joints first....oh.. and I did find my solder.. :roll: :roll:

the plywood will take a little time to cut out also.. the spot is rather irregularly shaped..

We have a ride tonight.. and I have a bit of a headache so might take it easy a bit..
