Japanese market 220 globes

Postby Darren » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:02 pm

I have some replacement globes that have mostly Japanese writing on the box. It does say Coleman Replacement Globe, 290/295 and 220/228. The printed label on the globe says
MADE IN USA
FOR
Coleman
Are these anything special? I'd hate to etch a good globe.

Thanks,
Darren

I'd say....nothing special there...do them up. I only save the really old green etched ones...all others are fair game to do what you want with. The oldest 290's or 295's are '84 anyway. Not all that old. I'm not sure when they went white with the copy, but they are relatively new. Doug

I agree Doug. I looked a the bottom of the box and there is a 2003 date printed on it. Wonder how they would do on eBay.

I think they went to white lettering in '80. Hey, at least they say Made in USA instead of other places 8)
