Thanks John for the link. Honestly I was thinking of makeing one ( or more) lol. I made 1 several years back for my sca persona then ruined it 1 night I must have sat down below a candle that dripped on a seat and got wax in my wool. Never was able to get it all out. Time for a new one.

NP! - When you read the instructions... you might be able to get 2 out of the same cut of cloth... something about the 60" wide materials being enough for 2 kilts.

I guess Im gonna need to swing by my parents and grab my industrial machine and take it in for a tune up... the timing is off on it. On my boat I do my own cushions and canvas, so guess its time for a sewing project lol

We have a slightly different use for kilts in our household. Hubbie has a Sports Kilt (tartan plaid flannel with velcro waist) that always lives in the van. After a bike ride, he puts it on to change out of bike shorts into civilian clothes with total modesty. Easy breezy.

Back on topic. Add a vent with a fan. Like a shurflow or fantastic fan. In summer a teardrop can get very warm. Open the widows and turn up the fan. The breeze can be heaven.

I reckon that works but once kilted I would be done. Why continue on to the restriction and discomfort of one or more bifurcated garments when you can enjoy the freedom and comfort of the kilt ????.........

It's called a kilt 'cause we done kilt everybody that called it a skirt......
