Hi all,

My name is Gary and ProFORMANCE ENGINEERING is my business name. I am in the professional motorsports industry supplying Data Acquisition, wire harness design and manufacturing services for professional off-road racing and other industries. After many years at the race track, I'm ready to get back to the wonderful sights and smells of nature.

I happened across this site about 4-months ago. Now, I'm on it reading every day, 2-3 times a day. I added my first post today with some electrical suggestions for a non-properly functioning trailer light issue.

Over the last four months, I have developed an interest to build a 6 x 12 (x 60" high interior) V-Nose CT conversion. I have done some poor quality concept drawings incorporating a rear outdoor kitchen, (sink, stove top, on-demand water heater, Engel 35qrt refridge, and cabinets.)

The interior will have an elevated floor for a queen size bed with 2ea 20-gal fresh and gray water tanks underneath. There will also be storage for a 30 x 60 folding table and several folding camping chairs. The table and chairs will slide in from the rear (through a small door below the Engel). In addition, under the beds will be two pull out drawers. Also, there will be 2ea storage cabinets, small flat screen tv, stereo/xm player and a small shelf with lip (below cabinet) on the forward side of the rear hard wall (kitchen/living hard wall.)

On the front wall/V-Nose there will be a 2-person seating area (couch), overhead hanging cloth closet (with doors), under seat 1600 BTU furnace and additional storage, inverter, AC and DC fuse panel, and Propane tank. The furnace will have four interior directional/close-able outlet ducts, along with interior and exterior fresh air supply to the furnace inlet. I also plan to use a Remote Pet AC unit and duct it into the exterior fresh air duct to the furnace. This way the AC will use the same duct work as the furnace. I expect there to be approx 22" - 24" of floor space between the couch and the bed for feet placement when seating and floor space for the dog to sleep at night.

Finally, add two 24" side windows and two doors w/windows (1ea street side and 1ea curb side), and a roof vent. Also, I plan to build my own rear door, a single door that will open to the street side. Add an swing up roof panel on the inside of the rear door that will create a roof over the kitchen standing area when the rear door is open, and, have a removable counter top that will attach to the inside of the rear door creating wrap around space in the kitchen area.

I realize this is quite an ambitious project that I expect to take a year or so to complete. But first, I have to place the order for a 6-12 V-Nose trailer with a 60" high interior with pre-installed doors and windows (I want the 60" interior so I can keep the trailer in my garage -and- cut down on wind resistance down the HWY. Storage in my area is over $100 a month.) I will definitely need to spec the exact location for the doors and windows to fit my very critical design layout.

So far, everything seems to fit with a comfortable amount of sleeping /sitting area. I want to have enough room for myself, my wife and our dog Miles (a yellow lab.)
