I built a 4X8, if I have to do it over, what would I build?

I'm starting a 5' X 8' by 4'' high TD. I thought about a sidewall of 5'X10', but the material is very hard to find and very costly to ship.
For those of you that have built a 4'X8' sidewall TD, what would you do if you had to do it over? The poll now reflects floor dimensions, not wall dimensions...

Before anyone votes...

Bandit, you may want to edit this. When you say 4 by 8, to me, that means 4 wide by 8 long. When you look at the choices you're offering, it starts to get a little confusing.

I would say 4 X 8 X 4 to mean the smallest, 4 X 8 X 5 to mean taller, 5 X 8 X 4 to mean wider, etc.

Know what I mean?

It seems that I can not change the POLL. But when I state 4X8, I mean the 4X8 standard dimension for plywood.

4x8x5 is 4 high, 8 long, 5 wide
5x10 is 5 high and 10 long

Oy--now I'm ALL confused.

Maybe you should delete the thread and start over, because when you say a 4 X 8, everyone is gonna think 4 wide by 8 long. Height never really comes into it with these dimensions, and if it does, I think it should be your last dimension listed.

There was a thread/poll like this about a year ago and because of that information, I built mine 5 X 9. Glad I did too.

Yea, sorry about the lag time... I was on the road today... and I gave up the wireless modem when the job went south. But when I'm home I'll do what I can...

I haven't even started building my BREDBOX just yet, but that prior poll on this same thing made me decide to do 5' wide and 8 long.

If my first teardrop would have been a 5x8 I would have stopped right there... That's a good thing of course...

But then I would not have started a forum named T&TTT.

I guess that makes me the exception... Good thing you're building a 5x8.

hmmm my option isn't there. I built a 4' wide 4' tall 10' long. Now when I build the next woody it will be 5' wide 4' tall and 10' long.

I never considered 6' and 7' high. I am more concerned about the length for more sleeping room and more galley space.

1st teardrop was a 4x8. 2nd tear is a 4x8.
