Just joined the site.

I love tear drops but I have to have a toilet, shower and A/C.

My ideal trailer would have a bed at one end, a dinette at the other, a toilet/shower and two burner stove.

A small window unit A/C and heat, that would be about it. I don't even need the hassle of a fridge. Space for a cooler would be enough.

I've found with small equipment trailers that two axle set ups tow much smoother. I'm thinking 4 small torsion axles with surge brakes. I run some steep rough West Virginia mountain roads.

Ya'll's input would be appreciated.

Welcome ... There have been some really impressive "standys" built here which sound a lot like what you have in mind. The cargo trailer conversions are also a common option here.

The build journals are full of good ideas. Enjoy!

I am not planning on a shower, but my TTT could easily accommodate one! I do have the porta potty, a/c and a full time table!

Getting The Lingo Down

I'm not familiar with all the terminology. Is a Can of Ham Trailer and/or bread loaf trailer both "standys"?

Are there any pics of inovative trailers made by converting old automobiles into trailers? I was watching My Classic car on TV recently and a guy made a neat motorcycle trailer out of an old bullet nose Studebaker. I could see that making a neat tear drop.
