Newbie from Kentucky

Just a quick intro. I'm from eastern Ky, am 42 and my wife and I are looking for a teardrop or similar small camper. I've been tent camping as long as I can remember. Right now I'm still trying to decide on what size I want. My problem revolves around the issue that I think I want a camper small enough to tow with my motorcycle. If I can't find what I want for that, then I'll go larger for a queen size mattress fitment. For now, I'm looking at plans and will probably build, not buy. Hope to find some teardrops and other small campers out in the campgrounds this summer - as the wife now wants to camp so I'll not just be camping in the middle of no-where with the Boy Scouts or at motorcycle rallies.

The problem is not building it light. The problem is loading it light. Coolers, chairs etc can add weight quick. I would think along the lines of putting the bike in the bed of a truck and have a roomier, more comfortable tear. By the way, welcome to the forum. Good people lurk here.

Welcome Gar :)

I have a Little Guy Rascal that can be towed with a 1500cc and higher for sale. I'm asking $4k for it - but will consider reasonable offers. It's in great shape. I had it built for myself in July 2009 and have used it up and down the East Coast a couple times. I'm 6'2" and don't have a problem in it. It has the a 12v and 110v system in it and I have a PetCool HV/AC unit (the AC isn't cooling for some reason and I haven't looked at it). Just built another Teardrop and want to sell both and build again! Holler if you're interested in either. You can see them both in my album.

Welcome and if there's anything we can do to get you hooked, don't hesitat to ask :D I've had a Teardrop for the past four years and really don't ever want to be without!
