Everytime I post something here now, I always wonder what my voice sounds like to Glenn. I'm afraid to think about it actually.....do I sound like one of the country music artists or Truman Capote to him  Is it based on the states that we are from? I will say that I have no idea what any of you sound like....but I have seen the movie Fargo...long ago....I have wondered if Paul'a voice is like the law enforcement people in that show ;)
That would be cool

not quite but almost! lolol my accent is more what you would expect to hear from a 4th generation norwegian living in an all scandanavian world in northern minnesota..

Paul... :D What the heck does that even mean?

I mean, I'm in Alabama  what does that sound like exactly?

these three variations are about what it sounds like around here. english was the second language in my grandparents house, norwegian first most of the time amongst the elders.
finnish just to the east of me an hour is still spoken fluently, the people from that area stick out here, finns vs norwegian/swedish..
Im closest to the guy in the third video growing up amongst the 2 cultures, norwegian/finn....

What do people in Maine and New Mexico sound like exactly? Do any of you...not just those states....have accents? Just curious.

I think a lot of times you don't realize you have one until you're someplace else and people mention it. I've been told by a Cajun of all people that I have an acent. Now that was funny, had to ask him twice what the heck he was sayin'

I also noticed years ago that liqour desolves accents better than anything else :?

When I moved to PA, they all told me I had a Jersey accent. When I moved back to NJ, they all told me I sounded like a hick.

I have a friend here from Norway.. her parents are still there.... hmm I am not sure how long she has been here..

hmm I don't even remember her last name.. we could never really pronounce it.

She is on the coast south east of here. I was doing her a favor once.. and picked up something she had ordered in a store. I just gave her first name.. neither of us even tried to go further...

Well we had a good lunch with Laurie's sister. Laurie sort of wanted to go to our new bike shop.. I stopped at Lowe's on the way to that. When we got done.. it was not that long a wait till a mountain bike meeting in a town... part way home.. so we did more shopping.. went out to dinner.. and then the meeting...
