He also had a lovely accent.....I asked him where he was originally from and he told me North Alabama...the nurse laughed and said Bulgaria
He was great! I really have a good feeling him and he just made my day. I was happy throughout my whole shift tonight :)

North Alabama

hmm yeah.. this sounds like good news..

I do recall my Doctor saying he would not use meds right away. He said he did not see evidence they would work semi preventively... He wanted to wait and see.

So yes.. move forward with your diet and exercise... and your life...

Thanks. Well, I am glad your doctor didn't put you on meds right away....you are so healthy and athletic anyway...I would think that the meds were not for you.

The previous doctor put the fear in me.....he said it was crucial to put me on meds right away....but this new doctor is much older, has been practicing much longer and I think he has seen enough to really know "life is short...go live it!" :) I will move forward with my diet and excercise. I'm excited :)

Well I have sorted scouted around the house.. what will be my project of the day..

Other counter tops.. other things of that nature.. are a major undertaking.. and not something for now.. maybe not even this spring.

I have to find something that I can do with my mind not being very clear.. worse than normal...

currently I am working to build a box to cover my dryer vent...where it comes out of the original house wall.. and enters the utility chase in the sunroom. I will start with that.. and go from there... :D

man.. it is quite windy out. :o

My Neurologist and I talked a bit about meds. He was older..in someways I liked him a lot. he seemed quite thorough. He was the one that suggested no drugs.. before I even mentioned my preferances.

Yet he did have his limitations. Years earlier.. my wife had been having bad headaches. He said it was because she had been on the pill when she was younger and prescribed some pretty heavy narcotics. She found out she needed an adjustment in her neck.. one or two.. and she has been fine since.

Dr. Sullivan.. was a customer of mine at the shop.. I did not at that time know him well. I was quite sick then.. and getting sicker.. I was on meds for various things... and the list was getting longer.

He was the one that said I needed to go see Dr. Wong-Ken. He was saying that Dr. Wong-Ken could cure me of these incurable ailments.

Well with the mindset of "if it sounds to good to be true" it just might not be true. I suffered for another year.. before I was ready.

and that step..... started a big step in another direction... into another whole world.

Again..one of them... the gentleman wanting to bike to Florida.. WTF was he thinking... :?

I have recently recieved another email.. from someone... I have not heard from her in a couple years.. excepting for a call a little over a year ago.. asking for ceremony for a friend of her's that was dying...

but she isolates herself.. and then feels alone.. she has done this for years.. she is on meds now for depression.. but except for that.. this email could have been from any time in the last few years.

I guess I can't or shouldn't get into all of it here.. but she often contradicts herself.. in so many ways.. does not get it... and has been given sooo many opportunities.. :? :?

and so many many people with empty words...

I feel like b!tch slapping the lot of them... :x

ok... on to something else... :D

None of the ones that I have like it when I have "suggestions". I had a family practitioner once tell me to stop reading about the medications and let her worry about it, because she is the one with the medical degree

good morning Lisa... thanks   :R :R

The first guy..you are correct.. I don't know him or his story.. yet.. he was clueless.. very naive in what he was trying to do..

I do understand my grouchyness.... / frustration.. is my own stuff.

yet... seeing people totally contradict themselves.. in just a few mintues.. to a few hours.. right there in black and white... in their own words.. I mean WTF.. :?

My last example.. I have dealt with her for years.. the same stuff over and over.. I won't bother with details.. but how many times.. do you have to bump your head into something.. before you learn to duck...

I would have "fired" her on the spot!!! Yet in her / there defense .. there is much for bs on the internet.. [as well as good]... and they don't like dealing with all the misinformation and non educated people.... sometimes wisely.. but sometimes it is perhaps to cover up inadequacies of their own.

NO ONE is going to be more interested in your health.. than you!!

When I started..on this alternative road.. I did not have the internet to go to. it was books.. and while there is also a lot of BS out there in print also.. there is also a lot of good.

I remember.. mention a book to one of my earlier Doctor's.. He actually took it and read it. We talked about it. 20 years later I learned his conclusions were wrong.. but I was very impressed with his taking the time.. to listen to me.. to try and learn.

I have had Doctors that liked my questioning them... that I took some charge of my own care.. asked questions....

They don't have time to research in the way we can. Our current medical system does not allow them time.. and so much of their current info comes from drug reps... :o :( :x

I might have mentioned before...

Early on for the Crohn's .. they prescribed a sulfur drug. This was before my awareness got sharpened.. and before I knew anything of these other ways.

I ended up becoming quite messed up... mentally emotionally I was not myself. I was trying to understand what was going on. Fortunately it hit me to question the meds.. I mentioned it to my Dr. and he looked up the side effects and it can lead to depression / suicidal feelings!!!! He had no idea.. and took me off them immediately. Some time later.. I learned of a young lady in the area.. on the same drugs.. did kill herself. while you never know what is going on to cause that kind of act... outwardly she seemed fine.. until the drugs.... :(
