Ceiling T-bar

Postby jtsarby » Wed Apr 06, 2011 11:28 am

I was at home depot yesterday and saw something called T-bar. It is used for drop ceilings. It is an aluminum piece 12 foot long for $5. The top t measures 1" and the leg is 1.5". My doors are not curved so it seems as it would be perfect. Has anyone used this product?

I've used it before... (in drop ceilings)

I would expect it to be a little bit flimsy for using it around a door. Its very thin material. If you put some rubber weather stripping behind it, I would expect it to bend outwards when you close the door. Just my opinion.
