door trim

Postby mvperini » Fri Mar 04, 2011 6:53 pm

when i replaced the wood around the door frame and the frame itself i bought some aluminum trim for the floor at the door edge. did not like the look so i made my own trim.

the little things

Postby mvperini » Sat Mar 05, 2011 8:22 pm

I have discovered that when restoring these vintage trailers it is the little things that add up to make a very special trailer. the wife wanted to install a paper towel holder, so i have been on the outlook for a nice vintage one. and here is the results, i installed this on the inside of the cabinet above the fridge. easy to get to but out of the way.

i believe that the trailer will never be finished unless i sell it.

new old stock marker light

Postby mvperini » Sun Mar 20, 2011 2:22 pm

I have been looking for some old style side marker lights the problem was the originals were 4 1/2 inches across and they had cut a hole in the side of the trailer and most of the lights that i liked were to small. found a set of new old stock marker lights that fit and look vintage

trailer bra

Postby mvperini » Wed Apr 13, 2011 10:00 pm

Going camping next weekend on the oregon coast at a new vintage trailer rally. i have been doing a lot of little things to the trailer to get ready for the rally. decided monday night i needed a bra for the front of the trailer sewed it up last night and insatlled it tonight after work. covers up all those rock dings that a 50 plus old trailer gets. was going to go with teal as the color but with 3 different tow rigs i decided with black
