All 125 officers who were cut are marching from headquarters to city hall and leaving their hats on the steps. Looks like it is going to get good media coverage. Even the NY news channels were talking about it last night. Also, the mayor asked those guys....ummm....can't remember what they are called, with the red berets.....to come and patrol the streets. Wonder how long before one of them gets beat up.

Wow! Way to go Lisa's hubby for standing up for what is right! I hope that everyone involved in the protest will be safe! :worship:

Yeah, this is the second protest he's been to. I never figured him for the protesting type...lol.

Here's the latest news from "P-town"
Sunday

Saturday

I'm sure there will be pics and stuff from this morning's protest, so I'll give you guys updates later.

Wow! :o II had no idea things like this were going on in your part of the country. Be safe and please do keep us updated. I'll be thinking about y'all :worship:

Thanks. That's not terribly far from us, but not where we live. That's where hubby worked.
I keep trying to convince Chris that this is all for the best and he will end up in a better place with better salary, etc, but I'm not sure he believes me.

Good morning folks - Still loading boxes this morning to take down to the storage place (at the new church) We do this to make the move a bit easier when the moving company shows up - all the "breakables" are already moved!

Good Morning Everybody :)
So far I have delivered the incoming mail, went to the garage and checked if we have a spare on one of the vehicles, then I set up fans to air out the clinic carpets cause they got cleaned this weekend and they smell. :? Now I'm off to take the vehicle to automotive to get a spare tire and also do the mail run. Bye

I am baaaaaack... :D

just like a bad penny.. :NC

I picked up a grease fitting for my tractor... and some star washers for my saw muffler bolts. I went to pick up my bolts.. and they did not have any so I ordered them. The one I need and a spare. I did sort of look at new saws..

Then to the shop to fix Laurie's flat tire.. she had picked up a hawthorn thorn.. I put a new tube in but also patched the old one. I normally don't patch tubes.. but it won't be felt on this one.. and the tubes are a bit more expensive...

then went to Laurie's work to pick up a nipple.. a big one.. 2" x 24".. Then a bag of concrete.. and a bolt.

I been digging my hole for the mail box post repair. I have been doing it by hand. I do have a post hole digger for my tractor.. but I would have to have the tractor in the road to dig the hole.. or at least partially.. plus for digging one hole.. It would be more work to take off the bushhog and install it..

hmm when I told Laurie I had looked at saws.. she did not say anything... :o

Laurie's wheel is back on the bike.. the grease fitting on the tractor.. [and greased... and my concrete work is done. Instead of just concreting my post in the ground. I concreted a larger diameter pipe in the ground. Once is is cured, I will take my current one out of the ground.. cut it shorter in necessary.. and drill a hole in it. The old post will then slide in and be bolted.

while out there working.. my "bad neighbor went by.. I was standing at the end of the driveway.. waiting to cross.. and they did not acknowledge me at all... what an a$$

The rear tire on my bike might have a flat also... :(

It has a removable presta valve.. it might have been leaking there.. I tried that and pumped it up... we will see shruggy...

wow.. I could use a nap...

We did have a nice mountain bike ride..We headed out to the new single track that we made last fall. It never did get finished.. the 3rd our of 4 sections.. was still pretty rough.

It will be a sweet trail though.
