Hello, New guy from Chino Hills, California here.
I rarely introduce myself in forums, I'm typically a lurker. But, this forum looks so inviting that I thought I'd say hello.
My name is James,
I'm an engineer by trade, and worked at a RV manufacturer (Alfa Leiure) for 4 years before they closed down. I'm familiar with high end RV manufacturing techniques (and costs!!) but am highly intrigued with the simpler side of life shown here.
I've been an avid camper most of my life, and have also taken up a recent interest in 4-wheeling. Because of the 4-wheeling, I've been spending more time camping out in the desert, and doing much more camping in un-improved areas (no facilities). The tent is getting really old, especially in the wind. Having to wait for a buddy with an RV to wake up so me or my girlfriend can use the potty isn't exactly peachy either. I would love to have a nice high end RV too (and the money to but one!!) but right now a tiny trailer sounds much more fun!
I have been really inspired by so many builds here. I'll start a thread in the member design section to discuss what I'm planning.
