Ok...I need computer advise.

It's freezing up, slower than h3ll, when trying to look at pictures...it's like I'm on dial-up, youtube videos keep stopping to buffer.

The AVG that Kerry suggested turns up nothing, deleting cookies doesn't help, CCleaner doesn't help, neither does disk cleanups or defragmenting.

I'm about ready to see how well my sledge hammer will help it.

:x

Any help? Please?

OK, not sure what the problem could be, but most likely some kind of infection. Did you try starting up in 'Safe Mode' and then run the AVG?

Do a search for rootkit removal tool and see if that is the problem.

Remember that some viruses, or whatever bad thing have to be removed manually and you might have to find someone with computer expertise to help you out with it.

Have you checked your browser helpers and disabled any that you are not sure what they are?? Probably easiest if you do not know how to check or change them is to Google 'how to disable browser helpers' or something similar.

Another antivirus to try: http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus (be sure to download it, then boot in Safe Mode and then install and run it) You might need to boot in Safe Mode with network connections if possible to allow the Antivirus to update.

Download and run this also (or even first): http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Johnny,

You might just want to pick a restore point from a while back and see if that cures the problem for you.

Could be you have gotten a bad install of some update or you might have some bad RAM and on and on.

Sorry, but it is extremely hard to troubleshoot things long-distance like this.

I think you're helping just fine Kerry. I had forgotten I have the malware thingy...running it right now, and it's found 12 infections so far.

This thing has been acting up for a while...but I really wanted to surf some youtube this morning, cause there was nothing on TV.
