Glenn are the fires getting anywhere near your house? Any one else in the area of the fires? Sure hope all are safe. Let us hear from anyone in the area.

No, this side of the Metroplex is fine. There have been some small fires here and there, but nothing like what is happening to the West of Fort Worth.

Spinnernut is probably 60 miles from the house eating fires at Possum Kingdom lake, but I don't think the fires will get anywhere close to his house.

We had some heavy rains here yesterday, but the rainstorms erupted East of the wildfires, and moved East. Basically, we had wildfires and flash floods 100 miles apart yesterday. That's Texas.

I don't think we have any SCT members that far West of Forth Worth.

Sunday we had a smaller version here in Austin -

~100 acres took out 10 or 11 homes damaged 20 more.

a homeless guy was cooking over a campfire and it got out of control.

they had about 100 firefighters - but weren't making any progress until the C130's started spraying fire retardant......

Thanks guys! I was worried about my "family" down there. I feel better now.
