The new campfire thread...ooooh purrrrty!!!!!!

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Fitness stuff: I did have another friend on FB [this one I actually know] 8)

she is younger.. perhaps in her mid to later 20's. She had a baby a couple of years ago... and has continued to put on weight. She has not been active.

Well recently she and a friend, got one of Jillian Michael's DVD's... she started out real intensely.. and expected to loose 20 pounds in 30 days.

I wanted to say something but was torn. I wanted to try and tell her.. not to expect that. The show is for entertainment purposes only, it is not real...Of course saying anything of that nature, could discourage her, yet the built up expectations would do it also...

I am pretty sure she has quit already... :(

Watching: http://www.hulu.com/watch/233628/jamie-olivers-food-revolution-i-think-i-found-a-loop-hole?c=

I only got to watch the beginning last night.

I watched the entire thing. I like what Oliver is doing. Now he's inpsiring ;)

I cried a little when his 17 yr old student was crying as she spoke to him about her family's struggle with type 2 diabetes. I think what he's doing does matter...even if he helps just 1 person.

I know! Me too, that was quite a tear jerker.

Glad to hear you are feeling good and made it through you first meeting. You could become a real inspiration for someone else there you know?

Hope you and yours stay safe this storm season.

Thank you Kerry, but the group did inspire me...not the other way around. Each one of the members who spoke to the group has a great attitude, a good sense of humor, and are very brave, although what they are doing with the meds isn't for me right now.

Thank you Kerry, Glenn, Shaun, Lisa, and Paul for your thoughts on this....I really appreciate that. I just hope to work harder....y'all are all hard workers and inspire me to do the same. :)

Oh, the weather? Thanks Kerry....you stay stay safe also....we will try to.

Good inspiration usually goes both ways.

Some of the Jillian Michaels workout DVD's are very difficult. I think seeing The Biggest Loser and then buying one of her DVD's and thinking that someone who is in not too good shape could handle it, is a big big mistake. Even my second round on 30 day shred was brutal for the first few days. Walking down the stairs is a real challenge after doing that the first day.

hmm I was thinking of just saying "screw it" and J B weld the bolts in.. sort of not a great idea.. because of it's more permanent nature.. but it seems it does not handle heat either...
