awning and add a room

Postby bushido41 » Wed Apr 27, 2011 10:18 am

Hello Everyone,

I found this company http://www.rvawningsrus.com/shop/catalo ... ucts_id=37 and they sale an awning and an add a room (vestibule) that will fit our needs perfectly. The awnings and add a room come from 6 feet ( 56 inches actual) on increments of a foot and they project 7 feet. The add a room will be perfect for our applications. The only drawback that I have seeing so far is the height, which is 99 inches and many of the tears will not be able to accommodate that height. Although, CT conversions and TTT should be able to benefits from this if need.

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this brand Shademaker ? http://home.comcast.net/~shademaker/bapage.htm

Thank you

Ed

I also though about using a white tarp from this site and add this zipper door.

Thank you Barb for the other source.

I wonder how feasible would be the use of the tarp and zipper door shown on my second post to create a vestibule. This is my idea, my awning is 6x6 and about 76 inches from the ground. I can purchase a 7 x 20 tarp in white (more pleasing color than silver) and the 72 inches zipper door. Then I can add the door to the tarp and use the excess tarp to create a seal between the vestibule and the TTT. I am planning on using the 6 " ball ties to secure to the awning and maybe add velcro, since my awning has velcro already.

I will appreciate any opinions and suggestions. Some of you might ask why I am trying to do this since I already have a modified tent as a vestibule, see gallery. The tents is good, and still works, but the upholster did not do a great job on the sewing of the components and the tent is dated. Additionally the tarp will provide better weather protection, since is water proof material.

Thank you for taking your time and reading my post.
