Wow, what a great bunch of folks!!! But I have known that ever since I joined ya'll. I wouldn't be anywhere as close to finishing our tear if it hadn't been for all of your great advice and answering all my questions.

Chip, when and where will the gathering be held in NC? It sure would be fantastic to visit with ya'll and make new friends.

Scott, I appreciate it. We are planning to use aluminum for the skin, but the orange and white checkerboard would sure look good.

sHoootR, we don't mind at all, go for it my friend.

Mike, yes that is T&G cedar and we do like it. It goes up well and is thin enough to contour to the radius, it also goes pretty good with the camo. We did put 1/4 plywwod inside so we could glue and nail using paneling nails to make sure the T&G stays put.

Julie, thank you. Yep, it is our baby now. We are having a ball building our tear and it is very satisfying work. It is a great idea to use a lot of the lumber that your dad has in your barn, that makes it very personal to use your dad's lumber like that and will save you some money.

Thanks Steve, we are practically neighbors. :D

Joe, we appreciate it my friend, you are practically our neighbor also. One day maybe we will get to meet ya'll.

Sid, we love them Vols through good and not so good. :) We remember that Vandy game too well. LOL Yep, you guessed it, I am retired but the bad part is my body won't cooperate with my mind anymore.LOL Hang in there buddy, that time will fly and you will be retired before you know it.

For an update on what we did today, we got the electrical wired in and we made the face frames for some of our drawers in the galley. We are working on the galley tomorrow and Judy will be putting some more insulation on the tear.

Thanks again ya'll, you are the best!!!
I started out with nothing and I still got plenty left.

Jeff, that sounds like a great idea, we would love to meet you fellows and gals. How do we go about getting permission to have a gathering? It looks like right now that it will be at least another month before we are finished with our tear, if I can hold out that long. It sure is good to know that there are a bunch of fellow teardropers close by.

Feral, you should come on back over for a visit sometime, it would be good to meet you.

Jim,
Congrats on your progress, and staying on budget. What is that camo material? ...wallpaper? Looks great.

Thanks Rampage, I appreciate that. We bought the camo at Lowe's. It is some type of paper mounted on plywood. It isn't expensive at all, around $18 a sheet. If you check it out, it is located back further in the back away from the regular plywood.

Jim,
Looks like it's coming along well.
I got a little more done on my ice box replacement.
You need to ease off on the signing in blood, don't want to run out.
We need to get together some time, may be in town this week.
I agree with a TN teardropers get together sometime.
I'm about ready to get back out again.

David, I know you will be happy to get that completed. We tried to figure a way to put one in the Vol-N-Tear but there is just no way unless we use it for a pillow or something.LOL

I will PM you our Phone number just in case you want to call us sometime. It would really be great to meet you my friend.
