Have You Named Your Trailer?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Ours is called 'Windrose'. Then name comes from ancient maps. Today we have the Compass Rose on a map to tell north/south/east/west but before compasses they used the direction of the wind to describe the directions. It was very very poor for getting where you wanted to go by ship and you often ended up in another place.

Our Windrose is sort of like that. A random adventure sometimes.
Conform and be dull.

Originally we were going to name ours the Escape Pod, which I know is not very original; but our TV is a Ford Escape, so I didn't mind it.
However, on our last outing a new name came to me. We are both pretty good Beatles fans... and so it was -- The Daytripper.

I spent half of my time designing my little woody, and since my name is Nelson, I decided to use the old wrestling hold moniker.........."The 1/2 Nelson". My second tear, which is smaller, became the 1/4 Nelson. Since it stacks on end in the garage when not in use, it is now, "The 1/4 Nelson Stacker".

On the drawing board is a bit of a different kind of 'teardrop' since it can be transported entirely within my S-10 Blazer and then pulled out and set up in camping configuration when needed and reloaded if it's raining, consiquently, it's gonna be called.........."The Slip-'er-Inn".

The last one, only in the thinking stage, is a one-wheel, 3 x3 expandable 150 lb tear with a pull-out section below the galley to provide a 6 foot sleeping area. Lets see, this one might be called "The Cramper-Camper"or maybe "My 3x3 RV".
8) :?  Roly (if you're gonna build it, you gotta name it!)

Originally I named mine "The Kat House", after a woman I was living with (Kathleen, nickname Kat)...

Then I found out she wasn't a camper.... so had to paint over it.... sigh.

My wife and I brainstormed and came up with the Bier Tent (pronounced "beer"). It's a play on our last name, Bierman. Funny thing is, we are not drinkers! :)

What a timely thread! We JUST named ours - it just came to us. 'The Figment'. Definition: a mere product of mental invention; a fantastic notion.

we have a "Lemon Drop" under construction. because my wife was looking for themed camping materials and she found some potholders with lemons on them. She asked me if we could use them in the tear, and I said probably, but that we would have to name it the Lemon Drop. Her eyes got really big and she says "can we? can we really?!!" so it has stuck 8) 8)
