2010 Scotty Replica - asking $8500 - VERY NEGOTIABLE

Postby Teardrop Tickler » Thu Nov 11, 2010 3:42 pm

The owner of Pleasant Valley Teardrop Trailers, Joe Mullet, built this trailer in his garage at his home just so he and his wife could camp in it for one weekend late this summer. Since that time, he has rented it out on three separate occasions.

It is in great shape with hardly any wear whatsoever. Joe is a master craftsman and would change anything that you may have an issue with. He is willing to warranty the unit for a full year as well.

The top is raw aluminum (you will need some Mother's to bring out the shine) with fiberglass sidewalls...we will apply graphics of your choosing if you would also like that done. The list on these units were $12,995.

Here are the basic details, with very minor changes (there is a closet built on the counter top directly to your left when you enter the trailer; pre-wired for Roof Mounted AC):

That's a sweet looking trailer and one I'd be proud to own. There is the unfortunate aspect of money, and I can't get there from here. :(

With year end approaching, Joe is willing to take a loss just to turn it to cash.

He is willing to listen to any and all offers on this trailer. So, don' t be shy...I know this trailer could make someone very happy and could be had for a great price...

Nice looking trailer, Scott. Wasn't Pleasant Valley the builders of the reincarnated Serro Scottys back in 2007 before Scotty production moved to Sierra Custom Interiors near Elkhart with the '08 models? Based on what we paid for our HiLander, his $8500 obo seems to be more than reasonable.

turned out to be a fraud

i have a buyer but the transport costs to cover 3,000 miles are too astronomical for him.

I have heard of transportation by individuals already traveling the route. Assuming the origination point is Ohio, approximately where is the destination?

yes....this was the same trailer as previously produced by Pleasant Valley...it was just produced for Joe Mullet (the owner) specifically for last summer.

the potential buyer is in Washington State (Seattle Area). Origin Point is Sugarcreek, OH...best rate I've gotten heading out that way is $1800, which the buyer can't afford.

the trailer weighs about 1800 lbs and has 2 sleeping areas: the front dinette and the rear couch both transform into beds.

I was about to ask if there was an easy/attractive way to install an air conditioner in it (I live in Florida, so it's a must-have), but then I saw it's pre-wired for roof air.

I haven't owned a motorhome for over six years -- are there fairly small roof AC units available (one of the usual sized ones would look silly on this little trailer!), and can you provide/install one? Rough estimate on how much that would cost?
