Mountainbiker just had the television news on - and ran upstairs to ask me to check the teardrop site for those in Joplin. Glad to read that Auntie M. and family are okay. Our thoughts go out to them.

I turned in early after getting back from Versailles and didn't hear about this until I got to work this morning. My stomach wrenched with worry for our teardropping family in Joplin. I am so glad to hear everyone has survived and so sorry for all who lost their lives. Prayers for all of Joplin.

I arrived in Joplin this am around 7:30 and went to my son and daughter-in-laws house. They were in So FL on vacation. (missed the whole thing-thank you LORD) There house looks like ground zero of a bomb explosion! The house and one of there cars are total losses. The one remaining tree looks like someone planted drift wood. They are flying back to my house in Tulsa tonight and we will return to Joplin tomorrow. Please pray for the rain/storms to let up so we can salvage a few things.

The reason I live where I do now is because back in 1974 a tornado hit Xenia, ohio my house which was for sale at the time was spared.
when so many others lost theirs mine sold quick but unlike some Bums who raised their prices I kept mine at the same price.
we lived in my inlaws garage for 3 months while our house was being built.
The sad part is I lost several friends hard to belive they have been gone so long.
