Waeco or Engel are the best choices but expensive. Both have about the same energy consumption. I was refinishing the kitchen floor and used our Waeco to hold a couple of 2L Coke Zero's. I used a remote thermometer and it held 36 F at half setting and would drop below freezing at any more than that.
The thermo electric coolers will only hold at 40 degrees below ambient temperature, maybe.

Thank you for the information. I was looking for model numbers so I know what will fit in the limited space.

Tomorrow, I am looking at a 2008 silver shadow.

It seems there was a change in the company sometime in 2007-2008. Which year/month of manufacturer should I avoid? I can do some basic calking, but if the sidewalls are defective, I may want a seriously reduced price, or not at all. Can someone advise?

The quick answer is who built it. Mine is a 2006 built by the amish. It goes by the names of Yoter Toter and Silver Shadow. I have had zero problems with mine (10000 miles). At some point in time, Little Guy began having their TDs made in Elkhart, IN. and that is where the defects began. I believe they are back to the original builders and the quality is back.
I have wisdom beyond my years. In fact, I'm nearly senile.

Thank You. The teardrop I found was indeed manufactured in Elkhart. I have a call into Little Guy to find out the details on warranty/repairs.
From the Little Guy website -- If trailer VIN begins with 1L9, then call our toll free corporate office number at 1-877-545-4897 as the manufacturer of your trailer has liquidated and reformed under the name Fiberton and declares that they bear no legal responsibility to service your trailer.
