Mikenchell.com redirection to teardrop web ring

Postby dh » Tue May 24, 2011 6:49 pm

I typed in mikenchell.com and the front page popped up for a second and I got redirected to a teardrop webring. Had to type in mikenchell.com/forums to get in. Am I the only one?

Thanks,

Mike..

If you recall I brought this up about 4 months ago.....I was pretty much told it was my computer! It still happens to me every now and then.....I also know it's not my computer.....it would be great if it could be fixed Mike.

Yes I recall...

I still don't know what to do about it. But I have turned in a trouble ticket. So let's hope the experts know what to do!

I believe it is this chunk at the bottom of the main page.

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://ss.webring.com/navbar?f=j;y=mikeschn;u=10120693">
</script>
<noscript> <CENTER> <TABLE BGCOLOR="gray"
CELLSPACING="0" BORDER="2"> <TR> <TD> <TABLE
CELLPADDING="2" CELLSPACING="0" BORDER="0"> <TR> <TD
ALIGN="center"> <FONT FACE="arial" SIZE="-1">This site is a
member of WebRing. <BR>To browse visit <A
HREF="http://ss.webring.com/navbar?f=l;y=mikeschn;u=10120693">
Here</A>.</FONT></TD> </TR>
</TABLE></TD> </TR> </TABLE> </CENTER></noscript>

Editing the index.html and removing this chunk of code will remove the WebRing toolbar at the bottom which appears to have a redirect.

Syn,

Yep, you're right. That's what they did.

Redirection shouldn't be a problem any more.
